Monitor lizards, genus Varanus, are members of the family Varanidae, a group of largely carnivorous lizards which includes the largest living lizard, the Komodo dragon, and the crocodile monitor. Oviparous, they lay from 7 to 37 eggs. Usually large reptiles, some can be as small as 5 inches in length, they have long necks, powerful tails, claws, and limbs.

With me for the last year. Turned out to be a young male. Beautiful bold coloration. You barely notice them but i like to list everything. Has little hairline “scars” here and there. From before i got him
